We had a really nice CopyNight this week and I'm feeling great about the new revitalized CopyNight energy! A couple of announcements...
1. At long last I started a blog for CopyNight PDX. http://copynightpdx.wordpress.com I'll use this to post interesting articles I find, to announce things, etc. If any of you would like authoring privileges on the blog (Michael? Kohel? Sebastian? Anyone?) let me know and I'll add you.
2. Next month, my colleague Joanna Burgess will be our featured speaker. She's involved with a cool grant-funded digitization project here at Reed and confronts more interesting copyright questions in a day than most of us face in a year! She's got stories and questions and I think she'll provoke a really interesting conversation.
3. I have, after last week, grave concerns about the Maiden's ability to accommodate us if we turn out to be a really large group. I'm going to give them a call later today and ask them what they think. I may change the location YET AGAIN if it looks like it'll be a problem. Suggestions are welcome, I'm still interested in hearing about getting the upstairs at Hobo's...Michael?
