Hi CopyNighters,
CopyNight is on for our regularly scheduled 4th Monday of the month, the 26th of October. Much has happened in the realm of copyright and related areas this past month, so we have plenty of potential topics for discussion.

We also have one brief announcement. After some discussion, Joe and I have agreed that shifting the coordination of CopyNight moving forward from him to me makes better sense in light of increased demands on his time from his day job. We're still working through the mailing list logistics which may coincide with some other future changes from CopyNight HQ (stay tuned) but that should not affect getting announcements out on time.
If you have a Wave account, I have also started a public Wave for discussion of this month's DC CopyNight (I am cmdln.net@googlewave.com on Wave). It is just an experiment, part of figuring out how to improve monthly planning and sustaining the discussion between meetings. I'd also be open to discussion of this and other ideas for experiments at the end or after the regular meeting on the 26th.
See you there!
